Today I'd like to share my review on differences between LAUNCH X431 CRP919EBT and Autel MaxiCOM MK808S diagnostic scanners.

Difference

1. The Autel MK808S is slightly cheaper €41 than Launch CRP919EBT.

2. The LAUNCH CRP919EBT supports 31+ special functions whereas the Autel MK808S supports 40+ types. The exact supported types vary from car models.

3. The LAUNCH CRP919EBT can do VW/Audi online coding, but the Autel MK808S cannot. You'll have to pay €513 to get Autel MP808S for the function.

4. The big one for me is the LAUNCH CRP919EBT has the Bluetooth whereas with the Autel MK808S you got a great big cable. You'd better buy the Autel MK808Z-BT for wireless connection. Otherwise, you're very restrictive, and you got sit in the car.

5. Really the LAUNCH CRP919EBT does support for motorcycles if you pay for it. There's no option for that on the Autel MK808S.

6. Both are equipped with fast and modern quad-core processors. You also get a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera on the LAUNCH CRP919EBT while Autel MK808S does not.

7. The other thing I noticed was on the LAUNCH CRP919EBT, we get these covers which is quite useful to protect the port. And on the Autel MK808S, it's all open and those pins probably could get bent.

8. So the one thing I do prefer on the Autel MK808S is I do prefer the slimmer profile and this bracket at the back. Because that actually sits on the steering wheel. So that's quite useful. Unfortunately, that's not on the LAUNCH CRP919EBT. But then saying that the LAUNCH has got heavier sort of protection on the corners. So it's probably a bit more durable if you dropped it.

So anyway, there's basically a summary of the difference between Autel and LAUNCH. Hopefully you can make your mind up on which one you prefer.
